Subject: Great but...
This was a really smoking show until the sound system crapped out in the middle of Black Peter. This recording has been fixed up to make the end almost listenable. At the actual show, the system keep feeding back with in incredibly loud screeching sound. At the beginning of Good Lovin', it was so loud that Donna yelled "Ow!" because it was painful to the ears.

Subject: We were all pissed
We were all pissed that we lost the Dead to a big arena and lost the intimacy of smaller venues. But wait, they played Nassau Coliseum as early as 73! Some great shows there. For this show I had seats behind the stage with the Band backs to us. But much to my surprise it sounded just fine. We heard what the Band heard through their monitors. After a while got used to seeing them there and in an odd way MSG took on it's own intimacy and you could tell the boys really liked playing there. This recording-not too bad

Subject: Just a bit of energy!
I attended this show with some friends, all at the tender age of 14!

It wasnt my first show, but the energy we felt prior to and during the show was something that cannot be described. We jumped the rail and got on the floor and ended up 8th row center. It was a mad rush to the front and I remember the ushers walking yuppie types up to their seats and just shrugging their shoulders when nobody would move. Not really cool, but hey, we were kids!

Vivid memories that I hope will never fade.

Much better than the other source. A very good show and the first at MSG. There are some PA problems near the end of the show but still worth the FLAC download.
